Connie Mah Trinacty, PhD

Connie Mah Trinacty, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Medicine. She received her doctorate in Health Policy at Harvard University and was a DPM fellow prior to her faculty appointment. Her research focuses on issues related to access and quality of care improvement among vulnerable chronically ill populations, particularly in the area of healthcare disparities among diabetes patients. Dr. Trinacty recently completed a series of longitudinal studies evaluating racial differences in long-term diabetes self-management practices among adults in a managed care setting. She is currently working with the Drug Policy Research Group in developing and evaluating patient-level interventions to improve medication adherence among patients with diabetes at risk of cardiovascular disease. In addition, Dr. Trinacty’s research objectives include development, implementation, and evaluation of local and national strategies for addressing disparities in chronic health care delivery systems.
