Therapeutics Research and Infectious Disease


The objective of the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP), within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is to provide healthcare epidemiology prevention Research, Implementation, Evaluation, Surveillance and Medication Safety studies. The Safe Healthcare, Epidemiology, and Prevention Research Development (SHEPheRD) Program allows the CDC to address questions related to healthcare epidemiology prevention research.

Mayura Shinde

Research Scientist

Mayura Shinde, PhD, MPH, is a Research Scientist in the Therapeutics and Infectious Disease Epidemiology group at the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. Dr. Shinde received both her PhD in Epidemiology and Environmental Health and her MPH in Epidemiology from Texas A&M Health Science Center.

Xiaojuan Li

Research Fellow

Xiaojuan Li, PhD, MSPH, is the Department of Population’s 2017 Pyle Fellowship Awardee. Dr. Li received her MSPH in Epidemiology and her PhD in Epidemiology with a minor in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research interest is in quantitative epidemiologic methods particularly applied for problems in pharmacoepidemiology.
