Elizabeth Suarez, PhD, MPH, is a post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Population Medicine. She received her MPH in Epidemiology from Boston University and her PhD in Epidemiology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on methods for studying prescription drug safety during pregnancy using administrative claims data and electronic health record data. She is conducting her post-doctoral research in the Therapeutics Research and Infectious Disease Epidemiology (TIDE) group under the mentorship of Dr. Judy Maro. As a research fellow, she will contribute to projects with the FDA-sponsored Sentinel Initiative involving the surveillance of adverse drug reactions in pregnancy, and will continue her doctoral research on the safety of use during pregnancy using administrative claims data.
