Ting-Ying Jane Huang

Research Scientist

Jane Huang is an Epidemiologist and Research Scientist in the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. She is a pharmacist by training and received her PhD in Pharmaceutical Health Services Research from University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Jane is actively engaged in the Sentinel Initiative, where she contributes scientific reviews to FDA's post-market safety surveillance of prescription medications and other medical products.

Jane has strong research interest in drug utilization and outcomes. Prior to joining DPM, she was a team member of the Maryland Statewide Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup and involved in the Maryland Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Evaluation projects. Jane has a passion for observational studies using secondary data and quantitative analytics. Her extensive data experience includes health insurance claims, national surveys, pharmacy transactions, and clinical assessments. Jane is also broadly interested in spatiotemporal methods and has conducted research focusing on the older adult population and treatment for mental illness. Jane received her Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Pharmacy from National Taiwan University.
