Alon Peltz

Assistant Professor

Alon Peltz, MD MBA MHS, is an Assistant Professor of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute and Attending Pediatrician at Boston Children's Hospital. His research focuses on population health and spans the domains of quality measurement, health and social policy, and human-centered design.

Dr. Peltz previously worked as Medical Director for Health Equity at Point32Health, Associate Medical Director for Payment and Care Delivery Innovation at Massachusetts Medicaid, and Team Lead at the Yale Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation where helped the design of performance outcome and equity measures used in CMS programs.

Dr. Peltz received his MD and MBA degrees from Vanderbilt where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, and his clinical training at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Peltz completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program at Yale University where he studied quality measurement and public policy. Over the past decade, Dr. Peltz has been a visiting research fellow at the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission and the CMS Innovation Center; and Provider-in-Residence Fellow at IDEO, a global human-centered design and innovation company.
