Alon Peltz, MD MBA MHS is a pediatrician and health services researcher who investigates the impact of health insurance design on cost, quality, and affordability. He received his MD and MBA degrees from Vanderbilt University and his clinical training at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Peltz went on to complete health services research fellowship in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program at Yale University where he studied public policy changes related to the Affordable Care Act and impacts on health expenditures and affordability. Prior to joining the Department of Population Medicine, Dr. Peltz served as Associate Medical Director at Massachusetts Medicaid where he oversaw quality payment programs for Medicaid Accountable Care Organizations. He has previously worked with the Yale New-Haven Hospital Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation, the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Innovation Center.
