Diana Juvinao-Quintero

Diana Juvinao-Quintero, recently completed her PhD in Epigenetic Epidemiology at the Bristol Medical School, University of Bristol, UK, focused on epidemiological studies in Type 2 diabetes using epigenetic risk factors and causal inference methods. Diana received her Master’s in Molecular Genetics and Diagnostics of Human Diseases from the University of Nottingham, UK. Her research interests include understanding how DNA methylation changes over the lifecourse in response to environmental risk factors, and how these changes can be used to accurately predict, diagnose and treat Type 2 diabetes. Diana will be joining CoRAL as a post-doctoral fellow, analyzing data from the Gen3G cohort to investigate associations between maternal glycemia or other metabolic factors in pregnancy and changes in methylation in offspring.
