Rachele Hendricks-Sturrup, DHSc, MSc, MA, joined the DPM as a Pyle Fellowship Awardee. Rachele received her undergraduate degree in biology from Chicago State University, Master of Science in pharmacology and toxicology from Michigan State University, and Master of Art in legal studies from University of Illinois. Additionally, she holds a Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University. Her interest is in mixed methods research to examine issues at the intersection of precision medicine and health policy. Rachele will be working with Dr. Christine Lu at the PRecisiOn Medicine Translational Research Center (PROMoTeR) and Division of Health Policy and Insurance Research (HPI). Rachele's fellowship year project involves a robust analysis of stakeholders’ top concerns about employer-sponsored wellness programs and the role of nondiscrimination laws, such as the Genetic Information and Nondiscrimination Act, among those concerns.
