Unni Gopinathan, M.D., Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Population Medicine at the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. He is the recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Scholar award and the Harkness Fellowship in Health Care Policy. He holds a doctorate in Global Health Policy as well as a medical degree from the University of Oslo. He was previously a faculty member at the University of Oslo, Institute of Health and Society and was a researcher in Global Pharmaceutical Policy, in the Department of International Public Heath for the Norwegian Institute of Public Health and Global Strategy Lab at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Gopinathan will be working with Dr. Dennis Ross-Degnan and Dr. Frank Wharam and will study U.S. health policy effects on preventive care, using interrupted time series study designs.
