Our renowned team of researchers are advancing understandings of precision medicine, from the examination of metabolites to profile responses to inhaled corticosteroids to the cost-effectiveness of screening newborns for genetic risk factors. Using a multidisciplinary approach, our team is conducting high-profile epidemiological, clinical, and economic studies. Highlights include:
- The Precision Medicine Policy and Treatment (PreEMPT) Model, a detailed mathematical model that simulates the natural history, clinical outcomes, and cost-effectiveness of integrating genomic sequencing into newborn screening
- Age-Dependent Pharmacogenomics of Asthma Treatment (ADAPT), an epidemiological study that elucidates how age modulates genetic, genomic and metabolomic information in response to asthma medications.
- The BabySeq Project, a multisite randomized controlled trial of integrating genome sequencing into the are of healthy newborns
- Imagenetics METRICS, an observational study of elective genetic screening that disclosed pharmacogenomic and disease risk information as an elective clinical service to primary care patients.
