Preparing mental health professionals to work effectively with a variety of treatment modalities in an integrated behavioral health care practice

The Behavioral Health Fellowship is a year-long, full-time interdisciplinary program open to doctoral psychologists and master-prepared social workers. The program provides in-depth training in time-effective therapy within the context of an integrative primary and multi-specialty medical group. Fellows practice and receive supervision at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates (HVMA), a multi-specialty medical group practice in Boston and surrounding areas. All fellows provide Behavioral Health care to a caseload of general psychotherapy patients, and will also elect a subspecialty focus in Trauma, Eating Disorders, Addictions, or Women’s Mental Health. A weekly seminar at the DPM supports the learning in the clinical placement and promotes cohesion and shared experiences among the fellows.

This program is led by Elisabeth Morray, PhD (Director) and Jim Donovan, PhD (Director Emeritus) and has been in existence for 30 years -- having successfully adapted to meet the continually changing environment of mental health practice.
