Ye Shen

Research Fellow

Ye Shen is a PhD candidate in the Decision Sciences track of the Health Policy program at Harvard University. She is interested in using disease simulation modeling, decision analytic, and policy evaluation methods to better inform health policy topics intersecting the social safety net for under-served and vulnerable populations. Ye is currently applying these methods to evaluate policies that address oral health disparities in the United States, such as medical-dental integration, school-based oral health services, and dental workforce in shortage areas. Prior to her PhD program, Ye received a Master of Science in Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University. She was a cost-effectiveness specialist and data analyst supporting USAID's food and nutrition assistance work at Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She has also worked for the World Health Organization (WHO) and consulted for the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).
