
Alon Peltz, MD, MBA, MHS
Research Focus
Alon Peltz is an Assistant Professor of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. Dr. Peltz leads a research portfolio focused on population health and spans the domains of quality measurement, insurance policy, and human-centered design.
Over the past decade, Dr. Peltz has supported health systems and government agencies in an advisory capacity. Dr. Peltz has served as Medical Director for Health Equity at Point32Health, Quality Measure Lead at the Yale Center for Outcomes Research & Evaluation, and Associate Medical Director for Payment and Care Delivery Innovation at Massachusetts Medicaid.
Dr. Peltz received his MD and MBA degrees from Vanderbilt where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors and completed his clinical training in pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Peltz completed fellowships in Health Sciences Research in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Clinical Scholars Program at Yale University and Human Centered Design in the Health-Provider-in-Residence Fellowship at IDEO.
Dr. Peltz is a practicing general pediatrician and cares for infants, children, and young adults in the Boston Children’s Hospital Primary Care Center where he is an Attending Physician.
