$1000 prize for the best paper in Population Medicine by an HMS/HSDM student
Dr. Sharon Lutz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Medicine with a secondary appointment in the Department of Biostatistics at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Lutz received her MA in Mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her MA and PhD in Biostatistics from Harvard University. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Genomic Mathematics at the University of Bonn, Germany and the Department of Biostatistics at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Dr. Douglas Krakower is Faculty in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Research Scientist at The Fenway Institute, and Associate Professor in Medicine and Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on ways to optimize HIV prevention in healthcare settings with a focus on implementing HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). At the Department of Population Medicine, Dr. Krakower and colleagues are using predictive analytics to identify candidates for PrEP using electronic health records data.
The Division of Biostatistics offers open office hours for brief biostatistical consultations for DPM-affiliated investigators. These online consultations are limited to the course of one hour and may include high-level advice on choice of statistical methods, interpretation of results, and/or revision of methods sections in publication drafts.
