Whitney Irie

Lecturer, Part-Time

Whitney Irie, PhD, MSW is a Lecturer, Part-Time in Population Medicine at the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. Dr. Irie was a full-time Research Fellow and a faculty member in the Department of Population Medicine. She has brought valuable expertise in social network science, dissemination and implementation science, and translational research rooted in her social work and public health training.

She received her doctoral degree in social work from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, and completed a master’s degree in social work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at Boston College. She continues to work with our faculty and research staff on health preference research, which aims to understand the value of health and health-related goods and services from the end-user perspective.
